Autumn Leaves

The falling leaves drift by my window
The falling leaves of red and gold
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sunburned hands I used to hold

Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

Last night's concert fell on a lovely note. It was delightful watching the juniors sing on stage. And for one, the concert was really ENTERTAINING, something we had sorely lacked back in our year. The acapella groups, the dances and the interval filler, really showed their talents off. sj and i were especially smitten by a certain botak bass.LOL. Got to hear him play the guitar backstage, and it was pretty impressive.

Singing as part of the alumni choir was a first for me, was actually a tad nervous before our item, afterall, its been ages since i last did choral singing. Could feel that sense of anticipation amongst everyone too. Though I guess the fun part of it was getting to know the snrs, my batchmates and juniors better. Otherwise, given everyone's hectic schedules, we'd probably not see each other at all. It feels like 1 huge family, and I find the way we introduce ourselves amusing, "Hi, I'm xxx, from the 03-04 batch. and you? " Suddenly, we're identified by the year we graduated from, and its amazing cos we have seniors going way back who're pretty much active and supportive of the alumni.

Our item went okay, nothing fantastic, but it wasnt that bad either. teachers and miss lim comments were tht we sounded good/nice, but honestly didnt know how much to make out of it. heh, wy said he felt qte paiseh hearing tht, just didnt feel that great after the whole perf i guess.

Well, with every concert that draws to a close, you feel a sense of loss after everything. Yup, my regular post-perf blues. Although this time it ain't that baddd cos, well, there wasnt any pressure on us beforehand. A big thanks to those who came along to watch!

Guess it doesnt help that i've some school issues to face up to. haix but oh wells, will do my best to make it thorugh!

Shyan's our head chef, with apprentice no. 1 nsr and apprentice no. 2 hhl. put us together and you get a recipe for disaster Sugar, Spice and everything Nice !  Posted by Picasa

quote of the day : You can't go wrong with garlic.
and neither can you go wrong with wuxiang powder either, sprinkled a generous dosage on the meat , and we ended up with over-marinated kong4 ba4 for our kong4 ba4 bao.

verdict: alright la. i loved the pasta, the wine, and the cappucino, and the vege and our head chef. lots of room for improvement for the kbb though.

and MY quote of the day: if i were a guy, i'd marry yishyan.

next monday's cooking lesson will be conducted at my place
Agenda : DIY Cheesecake.
staytuned.

transition

bah. i'm getting all moody again. and i think entries are best written when you're somewhat in a melancholic mood, and i will conveniently blame it on, the time of the month.

but a general feeling of lousiness i guess, and disappointment in myself for not pushing myself harder. sigh. got so derailed along the way, i don't know where i'm heading towards... and i hate being this uncertain.

never laughed so much for so many consecutive days though, gotta thank the bf for that. super duper uber sweet fella, he is. but enough mushiness. its been loads of fun having him around, even though half the time he's finding ways to annoy me on purpose then looking damn innocent after. sigh. and i think he's been accomodating me loads, which makes me feel kinda guilty.

but this whole relationship thing does take some time getting used to. i've always been much of an independent, free-spirited girl, i feel thrown off balance somehow. drained from all the late nights. one step at a time, i guess. it feels good though, having someone to share the nitty-gritties of life with. perhaps tht's why i've been whining less into this blog. hahahah those get transferred to him instd.
